Single-sided card. "Greeting from Cyril. The Machine Gun School, GHQ France Christmas 1915" in wreath at top of card.

Drawn by RR Gill, presumably of the Artists' Rifles. The illustration shows a Maxim being held by three men of the Artists' Rifles (28 London) who were the first instructors at the Machine Gun School, before they were transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. On the Maxim is possibly a cherub holding a glass or cup. The background is a townscape which is possibly St Omer, where the School was at this point.

Cyril is likely Cyril Davis, based on an accompanying card (SKR0012.1.11.2) but he has not been positively identified from the MGC Database at this time.

See also the file of Captain Howard's scrapbook at V10767 for another example.
