For sure you know the tale of Hansel and Gretel. Well, it's not a tale anymore.

We made a Gingerbread House Battlemap full of candy and chocolate. Now you have the opportunity to save the kids, who marked the way into the house through the forest by leaving trails of bread crumbs.

We hope this map also inspires your Christmas and winter adventures.

Gansel and Hretel

Inspired by the Brothers Grimm's tale, the plot hook could look something like this:

Two kids vanished in the woods several days ago. Their father offers decent coin for bringing them back, while their bitter stepmother insists the search is dangerous and not worth it. After some time looking for them, you notice some stones and breadcrumbs along the path. The kids marked the way back home so they could safely come back, but the birds ate some of the bread, and they might be lost. It leads deeper into the woods, to a very colorful house.
After crossing a chocolate river, you clearly see that the house is made of all sorts of candy.
Inside, the two kids are round and fat. You would think they would be dead by now or barely moving, but they have eaten enough sugar to kill a horse. Instead, it has given them the zoomies, and probably diabetes for the rest of their lives. In any case, they are close to ready to be eaten by the evil witch, who has been feeding them for a while.
Only the fire from the magical oven can kill the witch, putting a poetic end to her life. But beware of the giant gingerbread men that she animates to fight on her side.
After defeating the witch, you bring the kids back home with quite some treasure that she kept hidden (if you can find it). The kids then tell you that it was their stepmother who pushed them to go roam in the woods in the first place.
