I recommend taking this piece (digital image or physical print) with you to one of your favorite trees. If you don't yet have a tree that you visit often, consider this an invitation to find a mature tree in a nearby park or down the street. Be mindful of your pace as you approach the tree. Try to be as unhurried and available as you can.

Mindful movement.
Noticing details, sounds, textures.
Feeling the air.
Feeling the ground beneath your feet.

Consider taking a few moments to observe each unique branch and how it bends and reaches. Notice where there are wounds from broken branches. Follow the texture of the bark with your fingers. Kneel down to touch the roots. Take several deep breaths throughout.

Slowly read the words in the drawing (also below). Perhaps quietly to yourself first and then out loud a second time. From there, you might sit, rest, or even nap near or under the tree.

the trees know my worth + my dreams, my love, my fears, my rage, my joy, my grief, my exhaustion, my tears, my pain, my heart, my gifts, my doubts, my shame, my wild
